Kupanda means “to plant”
Kupanda Malawi has taken over all established community projects established by Makuzi Beach Lodge since 1993.
Makuzi Beach has spent many years running projects and have now official registered Kupanda Malawi as a non-profit organization working side by side with the community.
The established projects are the McAlpine primary school, the Chikumbuso museum, the Shanti tree nursery and the placement of volunteers as well as numerous educational on environment, health and nutrition, sports, music, and arts
The new projects that have begun are the first community spice and exotic fruit farm in Malawi, vegetable and herb gardening, 2 early learning centers also doing feeding programs at both centers, children food forests at schools, tree planting and training to care for the trees within the community.
Donations are always well come and assist with paying teachers’ salaries, buying books, stationery, and supplies, helping with the feeding program. Old toys and books are also much appreciated.
Please do not give donations to individuals or directly to teachers as the donation will not be used as intended!
